A truly wonderful way to spend the day!  High atop a hill overlooking Los Angeles is the Getty Center - still as incredible as it was the day it opened more than 10 years ago.  The Getty Center presents the Getty's collection of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present against a backdrop of dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens and breathtaking views.  Accompanied by a professional tour director, delight in the Getty at your leisure.  The Central Garden is especially lovely this time of year.  Also, enjoy an included docent-guided architectural tour.

Jolanda's will be serving a leafy Spinach Salad with Strawberries & Toasted Almonds, Chicken Crepes with Chardonnay Sauce, Cranberry Mold and for dessert, Ice Cream Bombe with Raspberry Sauce.  Wine will also be served with lunch.  The clothes will be from Drapers and Damons of Huntinton Beach.  Tickets are $18.00 per person and go on sale in the Recreation Office on August 14th.  Be sure to mark your calendars for this great event.  There will be many wonderful raffle gifts so don't miss out on this fabulous fashion show.
